At only fifteen-years-old, Kaitlyn Leis has passed her steam engineer exam. As a volunteer at the Waterloo Central Railway in St. Jacobs, Ontario, Leis can pilot the 90-year-old Number 9 steam engine under the guidance of two quailified engineers.
All she needs to do it on her own is hours of experience and a few more birthdays.
