I decided to take a walk on a section of the Grand's banks I had yet to explore. Just across the temporary bridge that links Bridgeport to Kitchener is a park and some elevated trails. These trails are on top of earth flood walls and there are other smaller well worn trails that access the river from the main trail. I took one of these and came to a peaceful clearing with lots of different vegetation. There was quite a bit of common burdock. On one of these plants was a daddy long-legs spider that had come to the end of a leaf and was probing with its front legs looking for solid footing.
