I was out looking for deer again. I am convinced they have a special sense that let them know whenever I am out trying to photograph one. Lots of people have written me to tell me how it is quite common to see large groups of deer along the Grand. I have seen them in the past myself, just not very often during this project. This evening was the same story... I will keep trying. I did see this plant which has been turned brown and brittle by the change of season. I decided to take a picture of it with the setting sun on the river as a background. After five frames the sun burst through the clouds and the reflection became so intense I had to look away. I stopped the lens down and took several more frames before the brightness was too much.
