Another rainy fall day. This time with a good dose of wind. I had an assignment in the Hespeler area of Cambridge and on the way back to Kitchener stopped by Riverbank Drive near Breslau. I walked down the abandoned road that has been barricaded for years. It is really interesting to see how fast nature reclaims what was once hers. The asphalt that once scalded the earth as it was laid is now cracked and disintegrating. Weeds and vines have infiltrated the black top and erosion has claimed a large chunk of the right lane. I stopped in front of this white oak and admired the variety of colours on display. I chose to use a slow shutter speed to give the feeling of motion and help represent the wind tossing the leaves about.
