News item: Ron Artest, he of the infamous basketball brawl in Detroit, was talking to children in that city last week as part of his community service sentence.
"Someone started trouble and I ended it," Artest told the youngsters according to reports. "I would always encourage you to protect yourself but in certain situations, if you can avoid them, avoid them."
But if you can't (and he could have by, first not laying down on the scorer's table and, second, by not going into the crowd), hey, stuff happens.
Nice message. Nice community service.
Whatever happened to being mature about matters, considering the source (idiotic fans throwing things) and walking away?
