Subtle truth in Air Farce Balsillie/Mario video

It's a scream and it's on YouTube via Royal Canadian Air Farce. Mario Lemieux and Jim Balsillie sitting at a table with the Balsillie character trying to get a word in edgewise while Mario fiddles with his Crackberry.

Best, and most revealing line, to me anyway, comes at the beginning when Balsillie says he can't believe how much money he's made by selling people Blackberrys.

No offence to creative bizmen like Balsillie, but he's right. Or the character is. Blackberrys, e-mail, all of that stuff are quite useful.

But they're also a double-edged sword. I've always found it somewhat perverse how the RIM folk have made billions by making everyone's lives 24/7 work, work, work, adding to stress levels and such.

And, as in the Air Farce spoof, laughing all the way to the bank.

What a weird world we've created and allowed ourselves to become slaves to.
