Turned on the NFL game tonight, the Indecisive One's (you know, Brett Favre) contest against his former team, the Green Bay Packers.
Couldn't handle the hype. Nearly threw up. Turned it off.
Then realized I want to watch football. Then thought, no, I should do some work. Hey, blogging is work, it's for the company. Then thought, no, I should read my thriller novel. Then thought, no, maybe I'll go out for a beer. Then thought, no, maybe I'll watch the game again.
Hold on. Tuning back in. Argh. Commercial. Always happens when you turn on the tube to check a score or flip between games.
Ah. Back to the, er, action. Someone's hurt badly on the field. Vikes (that's Favre's latest un-retirement team) lead 14-7.
OK, the injured guy's up. Can't decide. Keep on watching? Nah. Pack on offence (that's Favre's old team, once removed. He played for the Jets last year, of course).
Just not sure what to do. Watch? Blog? Go read? Call a press conference?
Does anyone care anymore?
Does any of this make any sense? Does Favre?
Of course not.
