Just completed first listen of new Van Halen album with David Lee Roth back on vocals and while it's dangerous to judge an album on one listen - one listen suggests it's a mess. Perhaps it will grow on me, but then again, right now, I'm not sure I want to play it again. Maybe they should have actually worked on some really new tunes instead of reworking their old ones, which is the template this album is built on, unreleased stuff from the 1970s. No wonder many of these, er, tunes, were not previously released.
