An unrelated web search brought me to video clips of Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard. I''m now a fan. Not necessarily of her politics of which I admittledly know little, but of her feistiness and I hope, Julia, you don't take that as a sexist remark - it's meant as a compliment.
Check out the two videos (including one via an Aussie news report) where she rails at an opposition member on sexism, and the others where she, deadpan, spoofs the Mayan prophecy about the upcoming end of the world for an Aussie TV show, and then a hilarious clip where she trips and falls during an official visit to India and later, at a media conference, has fun over the fall.
And some neat mayors have been profiled in the latest NOW. San Antonio's is of particular interest.
