A pep rally will be held at St. Agatha Catholic School on Thursday to keep parents informed on what could be happening to their rural school.
The rally starts at 4:30 p.m. at the Notre Dame Drive school with a school council presentation at 5 p.m.
The Waterloo Catholic District School Board is undergoing an accommodation review of the school beginning in September. Other schools being reviewed include Holy Family and St. Clement.
The St. Agatha school has 101 students but could take as many as 170. Trustees recently voted against a staff recommendation to have students from the new Clair Hills subdivision off Wilmot Line to go to St. Nicholas school.
Instead, the 83 students will be coming to St. Agatha in the fall, giving the school the new life it needs to keep it open.
But parents aren't sure how long their school will remain open. For more information on the school, go to their Facebook page: KeepGrowingSt.Agatha.
