Today, Woodland Christian High School is a very happy place.
The Breslau school is holding a ground-breaking ceremony to mark the $4.8 million expansion at the school. The project adds 26,000 square feet to the existing building. The three main features include a double gymnasium, a performing arts complex and a new visual arts area.
Paul Branan, advancement director at Woodland, said the fundraising project spanned two years in which money was collected from parents, businesses and private donors.
The school has a current enrolment of 270 students. The renovations will allow for an extra 100 students.
The open house begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the ceremony at 11 a.m. A barbecue and an awards assembly will also be part of the festivities.
