The KCI Raiders appear to be the only team with any hope of beating the WCI VIkings in the Waterloo County senior girls basketball league playoffs.
That became clear on Thursday as the Vikings improved to 12-0 on the season with a 75-40 win over Sir John A. Macdonald in a showdown of undefeated teams. The Raiders are also 12-0 but have yet to face the mighty Vikings. Expect that to happen in the championship game.

It was an emotional defeat for the Resurrection Phoenix at the Ontario field hockey championship. With star midfielder Natalie Buttinger forced into a role as spectator because of a knee injury, the CWOSSA champion Phoenix fell 2-1 to the Forest Heights Trojans in a quarter-final game at OFSAA.
It was difficult to watch as the tears flowed from Buttinger and her teammates after the disappointing loss. The fifth-year player and team leader's high school career ended during a morning round-robin game when she went down awkwardly in the dying minutes.

....er, yeah. Hard to have a 4-9 record when it's a 12 game schedule. Thanks for the info!

Good eyes Mark. WCSSAA just fired me an email with the new matchups. They made a mistake. I'll make the changes.

I'm trying to figure this out myself Mark, especially the three 6-6 teams. As for the other one, there are no 4-9 teams, only two 4-8 teams. They are Southwood and Waterloo-Oxford. Forest Heights was 5-7.

Hey Mark, any idea how WCSSAA came up with those basketball tiebreakers?
....what I really don't understand is how Grand River is 3rd out of the "6-6" teams, especially after beating both of the other 2 head-to-head?
....also how WODSS is last of the 3 "4-9" teams despite beating Forest Heights head to head?
Under the rules section of the WCSSAA site, it states that In the event of a tie between three (3) teams and ALL THE TEAMS HAVE
NOT PLAYED EACH OTHER, the following procedure will be used.
The Head to Head Record of tied teams against will determine part of the order.
– If Team “A” beats Team “B” and no other teams have played each other, then
Team “A” must
finish ahead of Team “B”. To determine their relative positions use the
tiebreaking procedures outlines in 5.3.2→5.3.3→5.3.4.→5.3.5......
I know you didn't break the ties personally but just curious if you got any word from WCSSAA when they forwarded the info your way.
