Bluevale fly-half Lukas Seibert is this year’s winner of the Mark Harper Award, handed out annually to the top player in the Waterloo County senior boys rugby league.
Seibert was also one of five first-team all-stars from Bluevale, which captured the WCSSAA championship for the fourth time in five years with a win over WCI.
Bluevale’s Evan Seeber, Evan Snyder, Keeley Hewton, Andrew Wildfang are on the first team with Derek Boyd, Sam Piticaru and Dave Stumpf of Huron Heights, Paul Schroeder and Carl Schroeder of Waterloo-Oxford, Connor Hawley of St. Mary’s, Aaron Goodridge, Jeyan Thangaraj, Lucas Beeby and Brett Medland of WCI, Cal Jeffries, Antoine Philip and Campbell Stahlbaum of Preston, Jake McBride of KCI, Alex Bukva and Mike Lynch of Sir John A. Macdonald, Braden Southern and Wade Hackett of Forest Heights, Logan Tellier of Monsignor Doyle, Nathan Roberts of Cameron Heights, Ray Tomchick of Grand River and Tim Baretto-Burns of St. David.

Trayton Austin of Waterloo-Oxford is the winner of the Tyler Schmidt Award as the MVP of the WCSSAA junior boys rugby league. Colin Hunt of KCI and Aaron Fairney of Forest Heights were also nominated for the award.

Thomas Modjesch of Cameron Heights is the MVP of the WCSSAA boys soccer league and is joined on the first-team all-star unit by schoolmates Terel Christian and Jermaine Williams, Thomas Sakor and Mo Abelrahman of Eastwood, John McGowan of WCI, Nikoa Miokovic of Grand River, Surian Tajrovski of Forest Heights, Riley Clipper of Southwood, Keiran Burnham of Jacob Hespeler, Ryan Thiel of Preston and Danilo Budalic of Bluevale.
