Starting things off with a fantastic picture from Record photographer David Bebee that didn't appear in Thursday's edition of The Record. Resurrection receiver Marcus Joseph pulls in a great catch during the first half while double-teamed by Bluevale's Dane Arthur and Evan Schafrick.

It's a very big year at Forest Heights Collegiate Institute.
The Kitchener school, which graduated a certain Record sports reporter a very long time ago, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, starting on Thursday, Oct. 10 with a homecoming event.
Festivities start at 10 a.m. as students and staff, past and present, are encouraged to gather at the football field for an aerial photo that will be displayed at the official reunion celebration in June of 2014.
A barbecue with live music will follow from 12-3 p.m., with junior and senior football games against Glenview Park to be played from 1 to 5 p.m. A seniors boys volleyball game is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Two instances of "bulletin board material" were made available on Wednesday, courtesy of two of the top players in the WCSSAA senior boys football league.
First up was Resurrection's outstanding lineman Andrew Pickett, who not only predicted his team would win the WCSSAA championship, he also predicted the Phoenix would beat the Jacob Hespeler Hawks in the final.
And then there was SJAM quarterback Brian Mundt, who has led the Highlanders to back-to-back WCSSAA championships.
Asked by CTV about his team's prospects this season, the likeable fifth-year pivot responded with a confident "we'll 3-peat."
Joe Namath and Mark Messier would love these guys.
