Not everyone is on board with the idea and you have to keep in mind that many high school players are former rep players.

The reason they want to add rep players is two-fold Mark. First of all, increases the number of potential players, may keep teams in the league.

Second is with the changes to contact rules in minor hockey, you need to add rep players or you may have to go to a non-contact league because none of the kids have been taught before.
