KITCHENER - The Guelph Royals finally managed to snap a seven game losing skid, dropping the Panthers 9-2 on Sunday.
Mark Wilush earned the win, allowing seven hits and two runs – one earned – with two walks and four strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings.
Josh Garton homered and singled, with one RBI and two runs scored, while Tino Silvestri singled and homered with two RBI and a run scored. Bruce Yari had the third Guelph homer and finished with a run scored and two RBI. Chaz Pal singled and doubled with an RBI and two runs scored, while Nick Lancisi and C.J. Fearon both singled with Fearon adding a run scored.
Kitchener starter Matt Robertson was the loser, allowing eight hits and seven earned runs with four walks and four strikeouts over five innings pitched.
Iggy Villalobos had a pair of hits with an RBI and a run scored, while Mike Andrulis also added a pair of hits. Brian Burton singled with an RBI, while Mat Taube, Darnell Duckett and Keith Kandel each added single hits.
