No. 6 - Lorentz a shootout specialist
When the Kitchener Rangers were facing a shootout, head coach and general manager Steve Spott knew exactly who his go-to guy would be.
Forward Zach Lorentz had a bit of a breakout year this past season -- scoring 19 goals -- but made his mark on the shootout.
Above is just one of his beauties, against rivals the London Knights.
I counted Lorentz goals capping wins at least twice in shootouts last year. He was always among the Rangers' lot sent out to break the tie.
Lorentz meshed nicely with Radek Faksa and Eric Ming, giving the Rangers a solid third line, when all three were healthy. But who knew that he was such an effective shootout specialist?
