You just never know where people will end up.
Last year, media type Tieja MacLaughlin sat next to me in the pressbox at the Aud. She was an aspiring journalist who had a gig Tweeting about junior hockey for Sportsnet.
She moved out west in the off-season for work and has since allegedly gotten into some hot water.
The story, in the Tri-City Herald, says MacLaughlin is being held without bail after driving to the United States with plans to kill her hockey player boyfriend.
The article ways MacLaughlin, 25, threatened Jackson Playfair, 19, a winger with the Tri-City Americans. The two had dated, according to the story.
Several Rangers followed MacLaughlin on Twitter when she worked here. Several former players still do as do OHL officials and players across the league.
