About Sandbox

  • This is a place for a few people who work at a newspaper in Kitchener-Waterloo to share stories and pictures that wouldn't necessarily fit in newsprint.

    Think of Sandbox as an online magazine that collects extraneous journalism. If therecord.com was a DVD, we'd be the special features.

Website problem, Saturday July 19, 2008

This weekend, the stories from Saturday's paper were not made available online at TheRecord.com.

This is due to a technical issue that prevented the stories from being uploaded to the website.  We are aware of this problem and the stories will be made available early next week.

Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and thanks for your patience.

In the meantime, definitely check out some of the web exclusive content from the weekend, including video coverage of the annual Cambridge Highland Festival (click here) that happened Saturday, as well as a video profile of local Olympic cyclist Leigh Hobson (click here).
