I think that sometimes, we in Waterloo Region are so introspective that we think the Grand River begins and ends on our borders.
Just two county lines to the southeast is Haldimand County, where Grand River cycling continues.
Wouldn't mind seeing a "share the road" sign like this around here. The people at Haldimand County admit that the reason for the sign is the lack of bike lanes and proper paved shoulders, but they are trying to make a statement.
They produce a nice cycling map, filled with cyclist information and details about five suggested touring loops. Go to their county website and search for cycling map for the download.

Oooh! Thanks for this. I'm going to be living near Dunnville for the summer, it's great to have this map.

I might send this to the Region of Niagara. Cycling (both recreational and tourism) is quite big in the rural parts of the region. Signs like this would be nice to see.
