$2,000 fine in death of cyclist

Matthew Waltenberry was fined $2,000 today in Provincial Offences Court in Kitchener for the September 2010 death of Tiberiu David, struck from behind and killed while riding in a bike lane on University Avenue in Waterloo.

You've learned about the sentence before Waltenberry, because he wasn't even in court. His lawyer did the talking. More on this later.
