Every day, Erin Wilk of Kitchener makes a new robot. How many people can say that? Today she made a ballerina robot. Just the other day she made a minotaur robot.
Erin's robots are different than most. They're not made of metal and electronic gadgetry. They don't perform tasks or fight crime. They don't speak in a tinny monotone and say cool things like "access denied." They don't gradually become self-aware and learn how to love. But if they do, may god help us all.
Erin's robots are made of vinyl and thread and other crafty materials. She stitches a new one together every single day, then posts a picture of it on her fantastic blog, Robot A Day. Check it out.
Here's a sampling of my recent faves:
The Ehhhhhh! Bot
The Elvis Impersonator Bot

Normally I tend to despise nice and cute. But somehow, that site makes me smile in spite of myself. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. Kudos to Erin Wilk!
