Well, you knew it had to happen sometime: a winter cyclist has been hit by a snowmobile.
Yes, according to Canadian Press, a 16-year-old male was riding his bicycle on Highway 89 near Mount Forest (Ont.) just before midnight Sunday when he was hit from behind by another 16-year-old driving a snow machine. The cyclist received minor injuries.
The snowmo driver won't be charged for the collision (no details as to why) but will be charged under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act, including driving without a licence or insurance.
Next up, a cross-country skier will be hit by a winter cyclist.
