« Punishment roughly even for motorists who strike cyclists, pedestrians | Main | Cyclist dies after being hit by passenger train »

I move all the way into the next lane but only if I am sure the vehicle behind me will not try to pass on my right as I am going past the cyclist. If I have an aggressive driver behind me I will straddle the lanes giving the cyclist 4 to 5 feet until I clear the cyclist. I give no room for aggressive drivers to make a dangerous attempt to pass.

Hi Bill
When I do drive I give a cyclist the lane and the looks I get from drivers when they see my car and all the stickers well they know where I stand
I have a photo to share

  • North America is eventually going to figure out that, for all the right reasons, we need more bicycles on our roads. Dust off your bicycle and go cycling. And if the gas-burning dinosaurs start to crowd you, it's your road and you paid for it. Take the lane for yourself.
