Bill....
I can certainly understand your act of erasing my comment/question, which wasn't fitting your agenda and I can also understand, that it would be very difficult for you to try and argue with the laws of physics, logic and common sense, which I have presented to you......
But what makes this especially humorous is the fact, that my comment was the only one you had...LOL

Exactly what I'm talking about there Bill....

A car is only missing a mirror, yet the cyclist is seriously injured...once again proving my point...
I really don't care that you erase this...it seems to me, that nobody reads your blog anyways...:)
But I do know, that you are reading my comments and to be honest with you, I just enjoy making you feel like a complete moron...
Until next time Bill...

@Lower Case bob: If Bill removed your comment it may have been because he'd seen it too many times before. Let me guess; did it say something like "CARS AND BIKES DO NOT MIX"? Here are some facts you should take into account before you cut and paste your next comment:
1. Roads other than motorways are not built or even designed for motor vehicles exclusively. Roads have been around for millennia, and were always meant to be used by everyone, whether walking, riding a horse or driving a wagon pulled by an ox. These are still legal uses of public roads.
2. Contrary to popular belief, cycling is a fairly safe activity as things stand today. Last time I worked out the odds, a cyclist was something like 6 times as likely to die in car as on his bike.
3. Much damage is caused by bad drivers, but the amount of damage done to cyclists is small compared the amount done to themselves, other drivers, their passengers and pedestrians.
4. If it's true that cars and bikes don't mix, then we'd better ban cars from the road. All because of a few bad drivers.
I don't think the type of vehicle (or feet) has much to do with road safety. What we need to do get the bad drivers off the roads.

  • North America is eventually going to figure out that, for all the right reasons, we need more bicycles on our roads. Dust off your bicycle and go cycling. And if the gas-burning dinosaurs start to crowd you, it's your road and you paid for it. Take the lane for yourself.
